Scarecrows and Servants

Over the last week or so we have begun to read another class novel together.

I took a handful of old favourites into school at the start of last week which included The Scarecrow and his Servant,  a great book by Phillip Pullman-author of the Dark Materials Trilogy. Fraser noticed this book in amongst the other’s that i had brought and pleaded with me to choose that one!

I don’t think that the rest of the class are disappointed! They are thoroughly enjoying the twists and turns of the plot and have already done some wonderful Literacy and Artwork based on the first few chapters that we have read together. You can see some of the childrens work displayed in the school hall at the moment.

I hope some of the class will be adding to the class blog and to their own entries to tell you more about our current work soon.

By the way, you may notice a new tab on our class blog. The maths tab is there to give you an overview of the wide ranging mathematical content that years four and five have been covering this year in class.
