Hello

Here we are in November! Where does the time go? In Class 3 we are now enjoying another story by MIchael Morpurgo.

It is all about the life and adventures of two orphans who get sent to Australia during the Second World War. The start their adventures on board ship, then they live in a cruel orphanage at a farm called Coopers Station. When theyt manage to escape they are taken in by a kind lady they call Aunty Megs.

As they grow up she sends them off to a friend of hers in Sydney where they live on a boat and learn the art of boat building. We are all enjoying the book and are on the edge of our seats each time we read a new chapter!

Very interesting I hope that the children enjoy it!

Thanks Poppy -we are loving the story and can’t wait to hear what happens next!

By the way, on Sunday I was lucky enough to hear and see Michael Morpurgo reading from his book Private Peaceful. He was accompanied by a wonderful group of singers called Coope Boyes and Simpson. If anyone ever gets the chance to hear them perform together I can promise you it’s a wonderful experience.

Thanks again for reading this !
